Pupils have achieved another year of outstanding GCSE results, with 80% and 67% of pupils reaching a standard (4) and strong grade (5) in both Maths and English. A staggering 41% of entries overall were 9–7 and 43% and 44% of pupils gained a 9–7 in English and Maths respectively. Pupils performed excellently at all levels with many pupils receiving the highest grades and/or making excellent progress. George Sturdy achieved 8 9s and 2 8s and Amy Hanchard 7 9s and 2 8s and many others achieved all top grades. We are proud of all our pupils, including those who worked super hard to achieve a range of grades.

We are thrilled with the results, which again show Wanstead as one of the highest achieving schools in the borough.

This was a great year. A group of ambitious and amazing young people and record numbers are enrolling in the Sixth Form after the most impressive A-Level results last week. Our vulnerable and SEND pupils have also performed remarkably well and made monumental progress.
