A Level Result Press Release
14th August 2025

Wanstead High School is celebrating an amazing set of results with 29% of pupils reaching A*/A, 61% A*-B and 82% A*-C, a significant increase from last year. 59% of pupils will be studying at Russell Group Universities and one pupil, Lily Samuels, at Cambridge with 2A*s and 2 As in Geography, History of Art, History and Art.

The Headteacher, Emma Hillman, said: &lsquo;We are so thrilled with these outcomes, which validate the hard work of all the pupils, staff and support of parents. &#39;The class of 2025 are inspirational, and we wish them every success on the next stage of their journey.&rsquo; Head of Sixth Form, Eleni Bray, commented on the hard work and ambition of this year&#39;s group, which was &lsquo;beyond belief!&rsquo;.

Lola Jefferson-Tuite was delighted with 3 A*s in Art, Politics and Sociology and will be studying Art at the King&rsquo;s Foundation and Luke Peterson also achieved the highest grades possible with A*s in Maths, Physics and Computer Science - the world is his oyster.&nbsp;

GCSE Result Press Release

Wanstead High is delighted with the GCSE results this year and are celebrating a third of grades between 7-9, above national outcomes in almost every area and some phenomenal individual results with 8s and 9s across the board for many learners. Headteacher, Emma Hillman, is &lsquo;bursting with pride&rsquo; and said, &nbsp;&lsquo;These results recognise the dedication and hard work of pupils who have faced unbelievable challenges during their time at secondary school.&rsquo; Ruby Gullefer, Head of Year, who has led these pupils through Year 10 and 11 was delighted with &lsquo;these remarkable results.&rsquo;

Ngaire McCarthy, who achieved 3 9s, 5 8s and a 7 said &lsquo;I am so happy &ndash; all the hard work over the last two years has paid off. I couldn&rsquo;t have done it without my teachers and parents supporting me all the way!&rsquo;
