'Science Week' biggest and best ever!
Science week has been bigger and better than ever this year at Wanstead. The week-long celebration of science opened with our year 11 students hosting a Magic Science Show for pupils from Aldersbrook Primary School. There were bubbles on fire, cola fountains and imploding cans alongside our students providing very animated explanations to the young audience of the science behind the magic.
Later a Science Fair saw our younger students take over, creating colourful interactive displays to show what they had learnt to an audience of sixth formers while another group were busy in the kitchen creating a periodic table made from cup cakes. The week closed with our very own ‘Anne Robinson’ (Deputy Head teacher, Ms Christie) hosting a Science and Maths themed Weakest Link.
