Drama and Dance
In years 7-9 students develop the necessary skills to enable them to perform and respond to drama. They are introduced to improvisation, text-work, Shakespeare, naturalistic and non-naturalistic drama. Students will learn to direct others, to create their own scripts and look at the physical and technical aspects of theatre.
At GCSE we offer Drama and Dance
At AS and A Level we offer courses in Drama &Theatre Studies and Dance.
How you can help
Encourage your children to see live theatre. The National Theatre and Barbican have reduced rates for children and young people at certain performances. The Theatre Royal Stratford East, the Hackney Empire and the Unicorn Theatre produce fantastic theatre at affordable prices. For dance both Sadlers Wells and the Royal Opera House offer discounts for children at certain performances.
